Morocco has become home to FIFA’s first African continental office, located in Maamoura.
The host agreement was signed in Marrakech on Monday evening by FIFA, CAF, FRMF, and Morocco’s Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch. This milestone highlights FIFA’s confidence in Morocco as a key partner for the growth of football across Africa.
Dedicated to serving the entire continent, the new office cements Morocco’s prominent role in global football. FIFA has further reinforced its trust in the nation by awarding Morocco the hosting rights for five editions of the FIFA Women’s U17 World Cup and selecting it as a co-host for the FIFA World Cup 2030.
