The governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are to meet in an emergency session to attempt to resolve the contentious issues, following the new twists and turns in the ongoing leadership crisis.
Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, who is the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum called for the meeting that is expected to take place, on Thursday.
The Director-General of the forum, Cyril Maduabum, confirmed this in a statement, on Wednesday.
He said Tambuwal summoned the meeting in consultation with his colleagues, confirming that “it will discuss recent developments in the PDP.”
The statement had in it that governors have enjoined all PDP members and stakeholders to exercise patience as efforts are being made to ensure the continued stability of the party in the days ahead.
