A former member of the upper chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Ayodele Arise has been kidnapped by gunmen.
The Sun newspaper reports that the Ekiti senator was kidnapped on his way to Abuja on Sunday night.
A close family member of the senator reported the kidnap to the authorities, adding that the kidnappers are demanding N80m for his release.
