GAFCON Chairman to Preach as Church of Nigeria’s 13th Conference for Chancellors, Registrars, and Legal Officers Holds in Abuja

The 13th edition of the Church of Nigeria’s Chancellors, Registrars and Legal Officers Conference will hold in Abuja from Monday 29th July to Thursday 1st of August 2024 at the St. Matthias House, Gudu, Abuja.

The conference which brings together all the diocesan chancellors, Registrars and legal officers in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, is an annual event where this very important arm of the Church comes together to fellowship, interact, discuss and share thoughts on Church and related matters with the aim of proffering legal guidance.
This conference stated in the Church of Nigeria in the 2011 under the former Registrar of the Church of Nigeria, Barr. Dr. Abraham Yisa, MON which he coordinated for 12 years before handing over to the incumbent Registrar, Mrs Kehinde Ajoni who will be coordinating this 13th edition.

The theme of this year’s conference is “To Whom Shall We Go” taken from the book of John 6:68.
The conference will be declared opened by the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, The Most Rev’d Dr. Henry C. Ndukuba on Tuesday 30th July 2024 by 10am (WAT) after which he will be interacting with the legal luminaries on Church affairs and related matters which will be chaired by the Dean of the Church of Nigeria, The Most Rev’d Dr. Blessing Enyindah.
The Primate of the Province of Rwanda and the Chairman of GAFCON, His Grace, The Most Revd Dr. Laurent Mbanda will be preaching at the service of Holy Communion on Monday 29th July.

Other speakers at the conference include, The Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo Asaju, The CoN Bishop Theologian and Bishop of Ilesha Diocese, The Ven. Dr. Paul Dajur, The CoN General Secretary, Barr. Dr. Abraham Yisa, The Former immediate past CoN Registrar, Mr. Muyiwa Sobo, CONNAM Chancellor, Dr. Peter S. Nmadu, Retired NNPC Executive Director, Hon. Justice Olayinka Faji, Chancellor of the Diocese of Lago Mainland among others.
