The Federal Government has developed a citizen-based web application, EYEMARK, to enable Nigerians to track the execution of capital projects and report progress to the government.

The Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba said this during the end-of-tenure news conference in Abuja on Thursday.

Agba said that the application would enable Nigerians within the country and in the diaspora to track the execution of government projects.

He highlighted some of the progress made by the ministry in developing and implementing critical growth and development for the country.

We also improved budgetary processes, procurement processes, boosted anti-corruption through the introduction of transparency in company ownership,” he said.

The minister said that the ministry also developed a framework for National Monitoring and Evaluation which the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) recently launched.

“We saw to the implementation of Grid three Technology, which deploys Geospatial data for evidence-based decision making and promotion of effective coordination,” the minister said.

He said that the Ministry of National Planning and Development accomplished the national planning component of the core mandates

“The recent launch of Nigeria Agenda 2050 by the President gives direction for Government policies for over a 30-year period, we set up an Inter-Ministerial Technical Committee on identification and Selection of suitable programmes and projects admitted into NDP 2021 – 2025 that can be funded through PPP arrangements.

“We also ensure the establishment of an implementation unit (2021): The objective of the unit is to fast-track the implementation of the plan,” he said.

He said that there were more outstanding achievements under his watch as the minister for three and half years.

“We developed Nigeria’s food system pathways implementation strategy, launching of Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) measuring tools, Multidimensional child poverty analysis (2022).

“We also developed a Situation analysis of Children (SItAN), 2022, a review of National Social Professional Policy (NSPP), 2021, food system dialogues from national to the grass root level and World Bank-Assisted Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRIN) Projects.
