Starting March 1, the Federal Government will fully transition all visa applications to an online platform.
During a live session on ‘X Spaces’ hosted by influencer Dr. Segun Awosanya, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, announced this development while emphasizing the government’s ongoing efforts to centralize and streamline the country’s visa processes. He introduced a centralized visa approval center designed to promote uniformity, curb corruption, and strengthen national security. “This initiative is a game-changer,” Tunji-Ojo stated, highlighting its potential to eliminate fraud and inefficiency.
The minister also unveiled the creation of an 8.3-petabyte data center at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Technology Innovation Complex, positioning Nigeria among the global leaders in data security and technological innovation.
This move toward digital transparency reflects the government’s commitment to modern governance and reinforces its dedication to protecting Nigeria’s sovereignty and global reputation.
