A heavy dose of the tributes acknowledging the awesome talent of Lawrence Foluso Olamiti of Idanre in Ondo State of Nigeria could be attributed to that awareness by those whose professional lives have been touched one way or the other by Folu Olamiti and his powerful pen and journalistic talent.
I happen to be one of such Nigerians like amazing Remi Oyeyemi has correctly observed in his own powerful tribute above.
I am not even a journalist by training but I got my inspiration and Adrenaline to be a writer from powerful journalists like late Anthony Enahoro, late Olabisi Onabanjo of the Aiyekooto fame, Lateef Kayode Jakande, Major Akin Elegbe and late Chief Wumi Adegbonmire and agile Folu Olamiti.
Folu’s “Newspoting Platform” on WhatsApp has become the doyen of such platforms in Nigeria based on the patronage of top notch journalists in Nigeria who subscribe to the Platform in large part because they all trust and respect Folu Olamiti the initiator and the sole Administrator.
I cannot think of a better time to eulogize and to show my respect to my brother and enabler Folu than on his birthday celebration.
