Moses Bliss, gospel singer and founder of Spotlite Nation, has provided clarity on why Ebuka Songs left the label before his contract ended.
During a press conference at The Experience 2024 music concert, Bliss explained that Ebuka departed the label 11 months into a three-year contract. He emphasized that the split was amicable and that there were no hard feelings. Bliss shared that Ebuka expressed a desire to pursue a solo career, prompting the label to release him from the contract. The decision was made after careful prayer and in line with Spotlite Nation’s mission to support and empower gospel ministers.
Bliss also expressed pride in Ebuka’s achievements and reaffirmed Spotlite Nation’s continued commitment to fostering gospel artists. He said:
“Me and Ebuka Songs? There are no issues between us. He was signed to Spotlite Nation, but he simply wanted to pursue his own path.
“Our contract didn’t last as long as planned. It was for three years, but after 11 months, he chose to go solo. I prayed about it and said, ‘You can go.’
“We hold no grudge. Our mission is to make Jesus known, and we are focused on giving others the opportunity to minister the gospel. There’s no conflict. I love him and am grateful to have been part of his journey. I wish him the best.”
Bliss concluded by reiterating Spotlite Nation’s dedication to helping gospel artists fulfill their calling.
