While Nigerians still struggle to adapt to the new way of life with the removal of subsidy, panelist on the Morning Show, NOW STREAMING on ACNN-TV analyzed the issues surrounding the distribution of the 8 thousand Naira Palliative to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal which seems to be an unrealistic plan for most Nigerians as research shows.
The lack of sincerity in governance and prevalent cases of insecurity has hindered growth in the nation. The guest on the show, Mr. Godwin Ujiri, a Political Analyst, mentioned that one of the major problems in Nigeria is the political parties and the wrong ideologies guiding our political parties and politics in general. A system where manifestoes are generally not people-oriented.
Talking about the reduced working days as directed in some states and organizations, the question of qualitative and quantitative productivity comes becomes a debate. This all depends on proper planning and strategy
The rationale behind the ratio of people to benefit as against the remaining who are not in the plan. Nigerians were advised to not depend on palliatives but push for things to be done the right way. Hope for the best, but brace up for the worse.
On the show, it was advised that the cost of governance be cut down drastically, as that will improve or facilitate the improvement of other sectors of the country. This is because when other sectors are improved, then employment will be created and the crime rate be reduced to the barest minimum. It was also mentioned that if true leaders are found in positions of authority, then a lot will become better.
