The Federal High Court in Abuja, has ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to unfreeze the bank account of the Founder of Daar Communications Plc, Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi. The Directorate of State Service DSS, was also ordered to release his travelling documents. Justice Tsoho held that, since the Court of Appeal delivered the judgment that invalidated the criminal charges against Dokpesi, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, had not applied for stay of execution of the judgment. The Taraba State University, Jalingo, has produced its first Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) graduate 13 years after its establishment. This feat was recorded after the candidate, Hanawa Rufus, successfully defended his thesis for Mathematics Education. Professor Benjamin Imoko, the External Examiner, pronounced Rufus qualified in character and learning, and awarded him the degree on Tuesday. “Having satisfied every requirement needed, I pronounce you as a holder of PhD in Mathematics Education,” he said.
