Popular gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori recently hosted an event in Lagos to honor several Nigerian gospel music icons, it was a night of reflection, worship and gratitude.
The event was held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Whitestone Event Centre in Ikeja, Lagos.
The event drew an impressive lineup of gospel singers, including Ebenezer Obey, Joseph Adelakun (Ayewa), Timi Osukoya (Telemi), Deborah Fasoyin of “Odun Lo Sopin” fame, Dupe Olulana, Funmi Aragbaiye, and Bola Are, among others.
The event, which was inspired by a vision Alaseyori received, was titled “Celebrating the Legends with Adeyinka Alaseyori.”
Alaseyori said, “The Lord gave me this vision while we were praising Him in one of our live sessions. When God asks me to do something, I give it my all. So, when He said, ‘Celebrate these ones who have worked for me,’ I committed to it wholeheartedly.”
The evening was filled with nostalgic performances of classic gospel songs, and the honorees were presented with awards and gifts as a token of appreciation for their significant contributions to gospel music and ministry.
The event was attended by notable figures in the music industry and was compered by comedians Asiri Comedian and MC Ajele.
A key moment of the night was when the honored legends came together to pray for Alaseyori in gratitude for her gesture.
The event successfully fostered a sense of unity within the gospel music community.
