The Rt. Rev Enoch Atuboyedia the Anglican Bishop of Okrika, inaugurated Anglican Youth Church in Abuloma in Port Harcourt Local Council of Rivers State. According to the Bishop, the recent establishment of the youth church, was conceptualized for redirecting youths from negative tendencies to godliness.

Describing youths as strategic in the Lord’s vineyard, Atuboyedia expressed optimism that with the youth church, God will manifest His glory and cause young men/women to become carriers of God’s glory in the business of propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ. He urged the youths, especially those that had abandoned Anglican faith, to return as well as embrace peace and pursue righteousness, pointing out that the youth church is to cover the diocese’s territory within Port Harcourt.

The Amanyanabo of Abuloma Kingdom, retired Brigadier General Bright Ateke Fiboinumama, while noting that worshipping God was one of the assignments given to humanity, said the establishment of youth church would enhance the people’s spiritual upliftment, especially youths and attract more blessings to the kingdom.

The Coordinator of the Youth Church, Mr. Charles Bestman, admonished youths to always trust God and shun acts that would put their lives in jeopardy. The youth leader, who commended Bishop Atuboyedia for the laudable initiative, expressed hope that the creation of the youth church would give room for more churches within Port Harcourt metropolis.
