The RT. Rev’d. Ephraim Okechukwu Ikeakor of the Anglican Diocese of Amichi in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State has called on all Christians to embrace the power of Christ’s resurrection to conquer all the obstacles confronting them in life.
Bishop Ikeakor made this call in his 2020 Easter message to Christendom. According to him, the Resurrection brings a message of triumph and victory over evil when all hope is lost. Bishop Ikeakor said that with the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, his disciples lost hope and were living in fear while the enemies rejoiced believing they had won until the resurrection morning.
He said the power of resurrection was what it took to break the power of the grave and bring Jesus back to life. In the same way he said, the power of resurrection will intervene and bring Christians to victory in the face of every challenges confronting them in life.
Bishop Ikeakor said that at a time the whole world is living in fear of the dreaded Coronavirus, God is still repeating the message of the angel on the resurrection morning-Fear not!
He assured that all that is needed at a time like this is unquestionable faith in God who alone is able to give victory.
He charged Christians to live lives worthy of the sacrifices Jesus made for them on the cross as well as the reflect the risen life of Christ.
