The Archbishop of Bendel Ecclesiastical Province, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), His Grace, Most Rev. Cyril Odutemu, has enjoined Christians to live a righteous life for people to remember and celebrate them even after their death.

Odutemu said this at the memorial service organised by the Bishop of Asaba Diocese Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Rt. Rev. Kingsley Obuh and his siblings to commemorate their parents remarkable impact on parenthood even after their death.

The Archbishop disclosed that the late Godwin and his wife, Patricia Obuh who both died about 40 and 30 years ago and now celebrated by their children is a confirmation of the sweet memories shared, while they were alive andencouraging them to emulate such good gesture for posterity.

Odutemu who stressed on the need for people to be remembered through various biblical passages, urged the congregants to promote godly virtue that would earn them righteousness in the presence of God and man.
Rt. Rev. Kingsley Obuh, who extolled the various incidents that led to the demised of their parents and their public status at that time, said God has truly sustained them to this day. He thanked the congregation for joining to celebrate the memorial service organised for their parents.

The celebration, which held at St. Mark Anglican Communion in Ubulu-Uku had in attendance the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborewori, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu.

Others included immediate past Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and the wife, top government functionaries, traditional rulers, Bishops, and priests of the Anglican communion across the province and dignitaries from all works of life.

Rev Canon, Leslie Ogbewe, chaired the grand reception after the church service. Heappreciated the children for organising such remarkable event inhonour their late parents. There were also goodwill messages and tributes that rekindled fond memories of the late Clerics.
