Pop superstar Taylor Swift was met with boos during the Super Bowl on Sunday, prompting former U.S. President Donald Trump to mock her online. The game, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs fall to the Philadelphia Eagles in a 40-22 defeat, was attended by both Swift and Trump.
Trump, who became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl, left the event at halftime but later took to Truth Social to take a swipe at Swift.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” he wrote. “She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
He also reshared a post highlighting the contrast between his reception and Swift’s, which read: “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed – the world is healing!”
Swift, a vocal supporter of Trump’s 2024 election opponent Kamala Harris, has been a frequent target of the former president. Last year, following her endorsement of Harris, Trump posted: “I hate Taylor Swift” on Truth Social.
