The Bishop of Owo Anglican Diocese, the Rt. Rev’d (Dr) Stephen Fagbemi, has administered the vow of fellowship and conferred the honor on some selected individuals during the Owo Anglican Diocese 40th Anniversary Thanksgiving and Investiture of Fellows held at St Andrew’s Church, Imola, Owo.

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Union Matters and Special Duties, Mr. Dare Aragbaiye and the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom, Oba Frederick Akinruntan, were among the 28 eminent personalities invested as Fellows of Owo Anglican Diocese.

The event was well attended by the acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Bishops, Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, traditional rulers led by the Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas and Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, APC chairman, Ade Adetimehin, Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Olusegun Odusola, captains of industry, members of the State Executive Council led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, top government functionaries, among several other dignitaries.

According to Bishop Fagbemi, the Church of God having noticed the commitment and dedication of the honourees to the things of God both within and outside the Diocese found them worthy of the honor.

He said the conferment of the Fellowship Awards of Owo Anglican Diocese is an acknowledgment of their past valuable services to the work of God either in the Diocese or elsewhere.

The Bishop said the honor was intended to serve as an encouragement to the recipients, to continue to increase in good works, and also to attain greater heights in their services to God and humanity.

In his sermon, the guest minister, The Most Revd (Dr) Olusina Fape, who spoke on “More Land to Possess”, congratulated the church on the laudable landmark achievements thus far.

He also said God is still taking the church to a greater height and will fulfill all His promises to the diocese and the members
