“The Diocese of Etsako recently celebrated its Annual Christian Men’s Convention, marking the successful culmination of its Third Edition, held at the serene setting of St. Paul’s Church, Awuyemi – Okpella.
Under the auspices of the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Revd Felix Olorunfemi, the convention echoed with a resounding call for men to embrace their roles in the family, church, and society, echoing the divine intention set forth for man since creation.
Addressing the attendees, Bishop Olorunfemi emphasized the importance of righteous living, highlighting that God rejects the prayers and sacrifices of the wicked. He urged the men to lead lives of holiness and integrity wherever they find themselves.
Themed ‘Men Lifting Up Holy Hands,’ drawn from 1 Timothy 2:8, the convention was a rich tapestry of praise, fervent prayers, insightful talks, engaging seminars, and practical workshops. It also marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Executive Committee of the Christian Men’s Fellowship of the Diocese, with Sir Wilson Okonkwo at the helm.”
