The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru, The Rt. Revd. Prosper Amah has harped on the need for Christians to advance in their prayer lives.

He said this during the presentation of his Presidential Charge at the just concluded Ogbaru Diocesan synod.

According to him, prayer will be more effective when Christians pray with the Bible. This implies building their lives around the scriptures, aligning the same with the will of God, and claiming the promises in the scripture that covers all area of human endeavor, ranging from personal to corporate issues, touching on every area of human life.

Adding that the Bible does not contain all that Christians need for salvation but also contains multiple promises for believers in every situation of life.

Bishop Amah further stated that whenever one prays with the Bible, he activates those promises which worked for people of old and is still efficacious for Christians today. Stressing that the relevance of these promises shows that God is eternally the same and his promises are ever sure.
