In Lagos, a fully loaded high-capacity Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle overturned within the dedicated BRT lane at Iyana Ipaja, injuring 10 passengers.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported that the accident occurred shortly after the bus departed from the Iyana Ipaja BRT park.
The bus collided with an abandoned pedestrian bridge footing just after the Iyana Ipaja bridge, causing it to tip over onto its side.
Authorities have confirmed that all 10 injured passengers have received the necessary medical attention.
LASTMA officials swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the situation and ensure the victims were promptly assisted. The accident has led to significant traffic disruption in the area, and efforts are ongoing to clear the lane and restore normal traffic flow.
