Six Governors of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum have arrived Niger State to meet with Governor Abubakar Bello.

Chairman of the Forum and Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi is among those visiting the state.

Other members of the forum that have arrived are Governors Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto).

The reason for the visit is still sketchy, but it is not unconnected with the security challenges in Niger State, particularly the abduction of 41 persons from Government Science Secondary School Kagara and the release on Sunday of 53 passengers abducted from the Niger State Transport Authority (NSTA) bus.
The governors in their vehicle came to the Government House in Minna through the back gate, making it difficult for journalists to get their arrival.
