Head coach of the Senegalese team to the Mini-African Cup of Nations, Cheikh Sidy Ba has said they must be strong and united to achieve their set objectives.

The soft-spoken coach released the list of 14 players that will prosecute the competition on Wednesday but 2 players withdrew due to injury and were left with 12 players.

“This year, the goal is to be African champion. We had a list of 14 players but unfortunately we lost some of them.

“We therefore unfortunately traveled with a group of 12 players with these 2 withdrawals. Nevertheless, the players will give their all. they are motivated and determined.”

Senegal is in Pool A with Morocco, Djibouti and host country Nigeria.

“A difficult group because we will meet the host country who has the same ambitions as us. But it’s up to us to be strong and united,” He added.
