A transformed life is the only evidence that one has met Jesus and has been reconciled to God through repentance from sin and faith in Christ and therefore a Christian.

In other words, there has to be some evidence, that is, the fruit of a changed life if Jesus has truly changed your life such as: being truthful, honest, humble, gracious, kind, patient, forgiving, hopeful, and faithful in the face of adversity, peaceable, and loving.

As Emma Danzey has rightly stated, “Having Jesus on a bumper sticker, wearing a cross necklace, or going to church does not make a person a Christian”. Are you truly a Christian or just making noisy claims that you are one? Here is what Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’”
