Kastina Governor Visits Injured Security Officers Attacked By Bandits

Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina State, visited the Federal Medical Centre in Katsina on Sunday to check on members of the Community Watch Corps who were injured in a recent bandit attack in Marhaba village, Matazu Local Government Area.

During his visit, Governor Radda offered words of comfort and prayers for healing to the injured officers and other patients at the hospital.

 He assured the wounded officers of the government’s full support and commended their courage, stating, “Your sacrifice will never be forgotten.”

Accompanying the governor were Sarkin Alhazai, Alhaji Kabiru Bature; the Chairman of the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board; Sarkin Kuraye, Alhaji Usman Darda’u; several district heads; and the Special Adviser on Security and Community Watch, Alhaji Yusuf Ibrahim Safana, who led the hospital tour.

The governor had earlier visited the site of the ambush with a top-level security delegation. The attack claimed the lives of 5 of the security personnel.

Reports stated that the bandits had concealed themselves among mango trees and there were approximately twenty people that carried out the operation. Speaking with members of the affected communities, Radda reaffirmed his administrations commitment to work alongside security agencies to enhance protective measures within the area.
