The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the top 10 performers in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), highlighting outstanding achievements from candidates across the nation.
Leading as the highest scorer is Okeke Chinedu Okeke from Anambra State, who achieved a score of 375 out of 400. Okeke has applied to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Following closely is Ayuba Simon-Peter John from Gombe State, securing the second highest score with 374. He aims to pursue Mechanical Engineering at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD).
In third place is Jimoh Olayinka of Kwara State, who scored 373 and also chose UNILAG for Mechanical Engineering.
Notably, all three of the top-performing candidates are male. The released list also includes the full top ten, detailing their scores, states of origin, preferred institutions, chosen courses, and gender. Only one female candidate, Olawepo Tunmise Gertrude, made it to this year’s top ten list.
