The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s Equal Opportunity Group has rescheduled its first national conference on “Equal Opportunity of Access to Higher Education in Nigeria.’’
The conference, earlier scheduled to hold September 26 and 27, has been rescheduled for Sept. 25 and 26, the exam body says.
The conference has as its theme; “Towards increasing equal opportunity of access to higher education in Nigeria’.’
The new dates were announced in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by the Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
Benjamin said the change in date became expedient as there was the possibility that the federal government could declare Wednesday, Sept. 27 a public holiday.
He added that the conference is aimed at boosting the enrollment opportunities of persons with disabilities in the Nigerian tertiary education system.
