Candidates sitting for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will now begin their exams on Thursday, April 24, following a rescheduling by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The exam was originally set to commence on Friday, April 25.
The change, according to JAMB, was necessary to align with key obligations involving the Board and its partner agencies.
In an official statement released on Saturday, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, announced that Notification Slips — containing each candidate’s exam date, time, venue, and centre details — are now available for printing.
“Candidates should begin printing their slips from Saturday, April 19, 2025,” he said. “This gives them enough time to make all necessary arrangements and locate their centres ahead of time.”
Dr. Benjamin advised that candidates visit their assigned centres at least one or two days before the exam, emphasizing that early preparation will help ensure a smooth and successful examination experience.
He also noted that all candidates will be assigned to centres within their chosen examination towns, assuring that no candidate will be posted outside their selected locations.
