Today, His Lordship, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru; Rt. Revd. E.C Maduwike, Ph.D, JP supervised the disbursement and distribution of the Third tranche of food stuffs and life supporting items as palliative to over 600 hundred people in Ikeduru.

In the words of the Bishop, “The Diocese at a time like this has decided to give succour to our people both Anglicans and non-Anglicans alike in response to the perilous time we are into now”. He continued, “I am grateful to the Priests and Church workers in our Diocese for their sacrifices in keeping aside their one month stipends to take care of the down trodden in the society” 😲😲

While fielding questions from the enthusiastic Press, His Lordship informed them that the Diocese of Ikeduru has also paid over #3.6 million (Naira) as hospital bills of some indigent patients trapped in different hospitals to secure their discharge from hospital since the Corona virus lockdown began.

He urged Government to remain committed in the fight against Corona virus and warned politicians NOT to make it a money spinner for their personal aggrandizement. He reemphasized the importance of regular hand washing in running water, use of face mask and observance of social distancing. The prelate urged the Church to remain fervent in prayers while praying that this ugly situation will VERY SOON END IN PRAISE.
