Diocese of Gambia Anglican Communion Honours Olufosoye With a Complex

The  Diocese of Gambia Diocese Anglican Communion will on Sunday 28 November 2021 honour the First Primate of the  Church of Nigeria Most Revd Timothy Omotayo Olufosoye with a  complex of many buildings.

In a letter signed by Bishop James of the Diocese of Gambia states:

“Dear Brother Oluwole, as sure you would recalled the our Daddy Late Archbishop Timothy Omotayo Olufosoye when he was Bishop of the Diocese of Gambia and the Rio Pongas in 1966 he purchased a land in Lamin and built a little Church he named St. Andrew’s, it was extended in 1993 by the late Archbishop Solomon Tilewa Jonnson when he was Bishop.

“Now the congregation has grown and we need a bigger space of worship, the reason why the Parish is organizing a fundraising service called Africans Sunday where all worshippers are encouraged to dress in any African dress in Thanksgiving to Almighty God, the fund raised will be used for the building of the new edifice which they intend to name the new complex at our Banjulind property the Archbishop Timothy Omotayo Olufosoye complex.

“The complex will have the following (1) St. Andrew’s Church (2) The Vicarage and (3) Vegetable garden.

“As sure Rev. Fr. Manley would give you all the details. The date for the event is 28th November, 2021
