The Primate, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, His Grace, The Most Revd. DR. Henry Ndukuba described Jesus, entering Jerusalem riding on a donkey as a Manifest of what Jesus came to do for the world and humanity. In his comment, he said, “Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem to make manifest what He has come to do. The Prince of Peace came to bear the burden of sin for the world”. 

He described the celebration as a victory that Jesus brought to the world, bearing the burden of sin and the afflictions of humanity Jesus died willingly for the world to be free from sin. “He has come to bear the burden of our sins and the afflictions of humanity and He did it willingly so that we shall be free from every bondage of sin and the enemy”.

The Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Passion Week, trials and contention which ended when Jesus died but “Death is not the end, He rose again on the third day and that’s what we celebrate on Easter and so we give glory to God”.

He also encouraged believers to also celebrate the victory of Jesus.  “And today we are encouraging all believers to step into the victory which God has given us, God bless you”
