Manchester City thrashed Burnley 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium to consolidate its position at the top of English Premier League.

Sergio Aguero put City in the lead on 30th minute through a penalty, but Burnley held on and frustrated City from scoring further goals until late in the second half.

Nicolas Otamendi scored the second goal for City in the 70th minute of the game to take the tension off the host.

Leroy Sane’s delivery has plenty of whip and Nicolas Otamendi gets up above his man to head into the corner. The defender on the line could not get enough on it to keep it out.

Sane scored the third goal for City in the 75th minute to make the victory secured for his team.

A sweeping move over the halfway line sees Kevin de Bruyne turn and play in Leroy Sane. He raced in on goal and shots low across the goalkeeper to score a fine finish.

Manchester City are now 11 consecutive matches unbeaten.
