ACNN TV can reliably report from sources that at its just concluded annual retreat of the Bishops of Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) which held at the Ibru International Ecumenical Centre in Delta State of Nigeria, an episcopal synod was held to elect Suffragans, Bishops and Archbishops to fill vacant positions in the Church in and outside Nigeria.
Bishops Elects are:
- Rev. Canon Cletus Tambari (Diocese of Gombe).
- Rev Canon Benson Chukwunwike (Diocese of Awgu Aninri)
Archbishop Elects are:
- Rt Revd Ibrahim Makus, bishop of Yola.(Archbishop of Jos).
- Rt Revd Cyril Odutemu, bishop of Ughelli. (Archbishop of Bendel).
The two Suffragans Elect for the Anglican Diocese of the West (CANA WEST)are:
- The Venerable Dr. Scott Seely
- The Venerable Celestine Ironna.
