Bishop David Abioye, the founder of the Conquerors Global Assembly, shared a personal testimony this Sunday regarding his wife’s health scare during the COVID-19 pandemic, stating she was initially diagnosed with HIV but later declared free of the virus after prayer.

The cleric made the revelation during a church service while delivering a sermon on divine healing and the necessity of aggressively challenging sickness with faith.

Bishop Abioye recounted how he immediately rejected the medical diagnosis when doctors informed him that his wife had tested positive for HIV. He emphasized his refusal to accept the finding based on his religious convictions.

“During COVID-19 they said my wife had HIV, I said no. Not in this body,” the Bishop stated.

He explained that he and his wife engaged in intensive prayer and declared scriptural confessions of faith. Following this spiritual intervention, Bishop Abioye said he insisted on a second medical test.

According to the Bishop, the subsequent medical examination showed that his wife was free of the virus.

“By the time they checked her… Because I got scriptural revelations ‘the prince of this world came to check me and they have found nothing’ so I said ‘go and do the check up.’ They checked her up and they couldn’t find anything there,” he recalled.

Concluding his testimony, Bishop Abioye urged his congregation to adopt a fighting stance against illness. “Healing is not for gentlemen, you don’t nurse sickness to go, you fight sickness to go,” he asserted.
