Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, has stressed that Nigeria needs peace to succeed. Akume was Benue State Governor from 1999 to 2007. The Minority leader in the House of Representatives, Ndudi Elumelu, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to sack his service chiefs, following the attack on the convoy of Borno state Governor, Babagana Zulum. The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has started an investigation into the incident involving an Airbus A330-243 with the nationality registration marks, OD-MEA operated by Middle East Airline and a Boeing 777 with nationality and registration marks TC-LJC operated by Turkish Airlines, which occurred on Wednesday at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos. A United States Federal Court has suspended President Donald Trump’s policy that affects poor immigrants in America. Immigrants cannot get green cards or visas if immigration officials establish they would depend on public benefits like food stamps. The Kaduna-Abuja train service has resumed passenger operations, nearly four months after services were stopped due to the nationwide lockdown imposed as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19. The railway opened bookings for passenger services on Wednesday morning with four trains a day connecting Kaduna to Abuja.
