STUDY:

Good Friday is one significant day in the Christian Calendar as it commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death. It is on the occasion of today that Jesus Christ was wrongfully crucified on the cross of Calvary for an offence that He didn’t commit.

Why then do Christians celebrate and commemorate this day, why do we refer to the day that such an unfortunate event happened as a “good” Friday? We celebrate it because death of Jesus that God is the basis of our victory over the tyranny of Satan; what a paradox! Thus, we celebrate today by reflecting on the suffering and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary as a tool for our deliverance from the yoke of sin.

Jesus could not be stopped to die on the cross. Nothing can stop Jesus from fulfilling his ministry in the lives of those who seek him.

Are you carrying a load of sin or suffering from a sickness or a demonic attack? This is the very reason Jesus died; just come to Jesus today and receive forgiveness, healing and deliverance (Matt. 11:28). Believe in the unstoppable Jesus and find rest for your life.

PRAYER:

Merciful Father, please forgive my sins and make me yours in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
