In a spectacular display of skill and determination, The Flying Antelopes secured the title with a hard-fought away triumph against Gombe United in Jos on Sunday. Young talents Kazeem Ogunleye and Godwin Obaje shone brightly, solidifying their roles as the day’s heroes.

In an electrifying start, Ogunleye and Obaje found the net early in the first half, paving the way for Rangers to seize control, despite Gombe’s late consolation goal in a tense finale.

Following their title-clinching victory at the iconic Cathedral stadium in Enugu the previous matchday, this final day triumph added an extra layer of celebration for delighted players and fans.

Rangers will also make a return to the continent as one of the two clubs chosen to represent Nigeria in the esteemed CAF Champions League (CAFCL).

This victory marks Rangers’ first league championship in eight years and their eighth NPFL title overall, solidifying their position as one of the most accomplished clubs in Nigerian football history, second only to rivals Enyimba.

Now that they’ve secured the trophy, all eyes are on Rangers as they prepare to extend their dominance in the seasons ahead.

Guided by Barrister Amobi Ezeaku off the field and Fidelis Ilechukwu on it, this young and energetic squad appears to be just beginning their ascent.
