The Falconets of Nigeria on Monday night at the Cape Coast Stadium in Accra Ghana coasted gleefully into the semifinals of the All African Games Women’s football event with a convincing 4 nill victory over Senegal in their 2nd Group B match.
The Chris Danjuma-led girls could only get a goal in the first half through Njideka in the 14th minute.
On resumption of the second half, the Nigerian Babes went smoking pressuring their opponents first through Ezekiel who scored Nigeria’s second goal 50th minute before Kalas scored an own goal 51st minute and the Nigerian girls made it 4-0 through Olise.
Spectators turned the game into a practice match with shouts of “eh eh and uh uh” which distracted the Nigerian girls from scoring more goals.
Nigeria dashed Morocco 2-0 in their opening match and since their next opponent, Cameroon had withdrawn Nigeria automatically has a walk over with three points in the kitty to top Group B.
Two teams in each group will move to the semifinal and Nigeria is there.
