GOD’S CHILDREN AS PILGRIMS TO THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM:
MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S REIGN ON EARTH
 THIRD SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY
Date: Jun 25, 2023
Sub Theme: Dangers on the path of Pilgrims to heavenly Kingdom 11
 Topic: Busy bodies
Text:
IIThess 3:11-14
 Aims
to inform us of the possibility of busybodies within the Christian Church
to discuss the possible guide against busybody.
 Introduction
A busybody is a person who gets involved in the affairs of others, or someone who butts in where he is not wanted or needed. They eavesdrop on peoples’ conversation and come over to suggest solutions without being asked or invited. In our text today, Paul warned believers to desist from this stigma. There are many ways by which Christians through their Characters indulge in busybodies. Our study guide shall justify these.
 Study Guide
Define busy bodies in the context of today’s study. Ref: IThes 4:11; 1Tim 5:13
What are the characteristics of busy bodies? IIThess 3:11; 1Tim 5:13.
From your experience, give examples of busy bodies in your area or Church and their effects.
How can we avoid busy body livelihood? Eph 4:28; 1Thess 4:11.
 Conclusion
If there are people in our Church who love to be idle and always want to depend on the Church for everything, let us courageously tell them to engage in a particular vocation; otherwise, they will constitute communication threat within the congregation.
 Food for Thought
Always busy without godly benefit is dangerous for the Church.
 Memory Verse
1Thess 4:11 “And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.”
