Aims
To show how filthiness can hinder the manifestation of the heavenly pilgrim.
Introduction
Filthiness is a condition of being extremely dirty. Biblically, it means engaging in acts that defile God’s temple which is our bodies. One thing is to give our lives to Christ (become born-again), another to consciously separate ourselves from things that God abhors. The passage today differentiates between the filthy believers and the Arch -Angel Michael in speech and action. Christians must be very careful never to turn themselves to dirty spots in Christendom.
Study Guide
Define filthiness according to the bible passage today and from Ps 14:3; Jer 2:22
Differentiate between the attitudes of the filthy believers and that of Arch-Angel Michael according to Jud 1:8-10
From the following passages, identify filthy acts. Rom 1:23-27; Gal. 5:18-21
As Christians, how can we be cleansed from filthiness? IICor 7:1; Col. 3:5-9
Conclusion
Unholy living is the bane of today’s Church. Our being part of this study today is an indication of God’s call onus to embrace holiness as pre-requisite for the manifestation of citizens of heaven.
