Aims
to expose vigilance in the context of Jesus’ second coming and
to discuss reasons for Christians’ vigilance.
Introduction
Vigilance is the action or state of keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties. In our text today, Jesus admonished his disciples to keep watching because his second coming will be sudden. There are always the devil’s pranks, the lusts of this world, spiritual slothfulness and other reasons for Christians to be prayerfully vigilant. Our Study guides will expose more of these reasons.

How do you understand the teachings of Jesus concerning vigilance in our text today?

Conclusion
Christians must always be alert and prayerful because the devil is always at work to use all available means to digress and trap pilgrims from the path of salvation to the path of eternal condemnation.
