✝️ TEXT: Colossians 1:22-28(NKJV)
1:22. in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight —
1:23. if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.
1:24. I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,
1:25. of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,
1:26. the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.
1:27. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
1:28. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
✝️🗒️STUDY: The ultimate goal of atonement is not just to satisfy a legal obligation; it’s the restoration of a relationship. This is the point where justification “passes over into reconciliation.” The incarnation of Jesus and his acts of justification have made it possible for mankind to respond to his gracious act of love.
There are some questions we need to answer in life. They include: Who are we? Why are we here? And where are we heading? What is our purpose? Unfortunately, few of us pause long enough in our hectic life ponder these questions. Paul said, now “I rejoice in what I am suffering for you and I feel up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions for the sake of the body which is the church. I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness. We were once alienated from God and were enemies in our minds because of the evil in our minds but the love of Christ has reconciled us, not even with our consent but on his own He decided to call us back to his glory.
✝️🙏PRAYER: Lord, may I not go back to my sins and may I make you known among the gentiles, Amen.
