Solomon Oluwarotimi Adewumi was born on 29th June 1970 in Zaria, Kaduna State. He is an indigene of Oke-Ero Local Government, Iloffa, Kwara State. He gained his Primary School Leaving Certificate at Tanke Primary School, Ilorin, and West African Secondary School Certificate at Government Secondary School Ilorin.
He furthered his education by earning a Higher National Diploma in Public Administration at Kwara Poly, Ilorin, Kwara State.
His unwavering passion for knowledge, law and Justice made him obtain a Diploma in Law at Kwara Poly, Ilorin, Kwara State and attained a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, Sokoto State.
In discovering and answering the divine call of God at his early stage of life, he channeled and directed his passion for learning by having an in-depth knowledge by pursuing a Diploma in Theology at Immanuel College of Theology (TMM), and Vining College of Theology Akure (FULL TIME).
Motivated by God’s favour, hard work, diligence, and resilience, he rose quickly through the Church hierarchy, achieving Diaconate (1998), Priesthood (2000), Canon (2006), Archdeacon (2007), and Provost (2010).
His service in the Anglican Church includes key assignments such as Pioneer Priest at Our Redeemer’s Hausa Church in the Diocese of Kwara, Assistant Priest at the Cathedral of St. Peter’s Ake in Abeokuta, Pioneer Archdeacon at St. Jude’s Oke-Ijeun, and Provost at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Ilaro.
His relentless passion for academics made him proceed in securing a M.DIV at Crowther Graduate Theological Seminary, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Asides his ministerial calling, he expressed his knowledge, intelligence, and life-challenging experiences in three published books he authored. They are titled, Power For Prosperity, Overcoming Problems of Life and My Tomorrow
Ven. Solomon Adewumi is married to Mrs. Olufunmi Adewumi (Nee Fabuluje) and blessed with a son.
