Following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Renard is set to step down from his role as head coach of the French women’s national team. AfricaSoccer.com reports that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is eager to appoint him as the new head coach of the Super Eagles. Renard’s impressive track record and experience in international football have made him a highly sought-after candidate to lead Nigeria’s national team, reflecting the NFF’s ambition to strengthen the Super Eagles’ performance on the global stage.

Having achieved significant success in Africa, the 55-year-old coach is eager to return to the continent.

Renard led Zambia to victory in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations and repeated this feat with Côte d’Ivoire in 2015.

The NFF is looking for a new coach for the Super Eagles following Finidi George’s resignation from the post.

It is expected that the NFF will face stiff competition for Renard’s services, but securing him would be a major coup for Nigerian football.
