Five inmates of the Kuje Custodial Centre have bagged university degrees in various disciplines at the National Open University of Nigeria. This is as over 200 inmates at the centre are enrolled in tertiary education. The management of London Line Transport Company Limited has petitioned  Benue State Governor, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Alia, over an alleged invasion of its premises by the state’s Assets Recovery Committee, set up to recover state properties allegedly taken away by the immediate-past governor, Samuel Ortom. The Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria announced new service charges for operators in June. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a 19-year-old student, Benjamin Daberechi, for attempting to export 7.2 kg of methamphetamine concealed in crayfish to Europe where he was going for studies. The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the killing of one Mr. Nelson Sylvester, a councilor representing Eha-Ulo ward, in Nsukka Local Government Area Legislative Council, Enugu State.
