A Civil Society Organisation under the aegis of Civil Society and Workers Dialogue Forum (CSWDF) has expressed its disapproval of the proposed strike by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) scheduled to commence on Tuesday, Oct. 3. The Trade Union Congress, TUC, on Wednesday, insisted that there was no going back on the proposed indefinite strike by the organizer labour. An earlier report noted that TUC and the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, on Tuesday, said the country’s economy would be shut down from October 3 to further press for its demands from the Federal Government. Alive and Thrive (FHI 360), an international NGO, has trained 20 Monitoring and Evaluation Officers on the National Health Management Information System (NHMIS) tools. Dr Ifeanyi Ogbu, the immediate past Chairman of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) FCT Chapter, has called for the establishment of veterinary medical centres in all Local Government Areas in the country. Ogbu made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja in commemoration of the World Rabies Day, observed every year on Sept. 28.
