Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has approved the suspension of the Managing Director of the Nasarawa State Urban Development Board, Alhaji Mohammed Wada-Yahaya, over alleged destruction of campaign billboards. The suspension was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Muhammed Ubandoma-Aliyu, on Friday in Lafia. The Borno State Police Command has trained 518 constables to augment the existing security across the state towards ensuring a hitch-free and credible 2023 elections. A Nigerian man, Bethel Chimezie, 25, who attempted to break into the Guyana State House by stabbing a police officer and shooting at members of the Presidential Guard was charged with attempted murder on Thursday.
