A federal capital territory (FCT) high court has compelled the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to go ahead with full implementation of the naira redesign. Delivering a ruling on Monday in the suit marked FCT/HC/CV/2234/2023, the court restrained the CBN from extending the deadline on the use of old naira notes. The CBN, President Muhammadu Buhari, and several banks were included as defendants in the suit. Hoodlums, on Friday, vandalised a police station in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. DAILY POST reports that a Wema Bank branch opposite the police station was also vandalised. The police station, located at Agodi Gate area, was vandalised during a protest in Ibadan. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammad Bello, has directed security agencies to arrest the officials of the Federal Housing Authority and the developer of the collapsed two-storey building in Abuja.
