The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has rescinded an order restricting the movement of essential workers during the COVID-19 lockdown. On Tuesday, essential workers in Lagos were blocked off at several police checkpoints around the State, at the start of the 8pm curfew. The Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 has warned that coronavirus won’t be over anytime soon. Dr. Aliyu Sani, the National Coordinator of the committee, said the pandemic would remain in Nigeria a little longer. Hungary’s parliament voted Tuesday to bar nationals from legally changing their gender, defying protests at home and abroad and warnings that transgender citizens will face greater discrimination.
