An Indian passenger over the weekend died on board an Air India evacuation flight from Lagos to Mumbai. It was learnt that the 42-year-old passenger had fever on board the aircraft and was provided with oxygen after having difficulty in breathing. A few moments later, he collapsed and died on board the flight which landed at the Mumbai Airport at 3:40 am. Air India in a statement confirmed that the passenger died of “natural causes” not coronavirus. Lagos State Government has warned that club centres would not be allowed to open and operate without getting safety compliance certificates. While easing lockdown on social clubhouses, the state government said it has started physical verification and issuance of safety compliance certificates to social clubs and centres in the State. One person has been reported dead and four others injured as a fracas broke out on Saturday at the Auno check point in Borno State when some soldiers attached to the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army assaulted members of Borno State COVID-19 Committee enforcing the interstate lockdown order. A light Kenyan police aircraft carrying a security team to a meeting in Marsabit, crash-landed in the eastern region of Meru in the early hours of Saturday June 13. The Eastern Regional commissioner and his security team were reportedly heading for a joint security meeting with North Eastern counterparts when the incident occurred.  Police spokesman Charles Owino said the chopper had six occupants, 2 pilots and 4 passengers-all members of Eastern Security committee. The Federal Government has approved N13b Intervention Fund to boost agricultural activities during this year’s farming season in12 frontline states.
