The Rivers State Police Command has launched a manhunt for two high-ranking officials of the Ahoada East Local Government Area, named, Hector Ekakita, the Chief Security Officer, and Mr. Aloni Olodi, the Chief of Staff.
Both individuals have been declared wanted in connection with the alleged attempted murder of the council’s administrator, Hon. Goodluck Iheanachor.
According to police reports, Ekakita and Olodi are accused of orchestrating an attack on Iheanachor’s office on June 20, 2025. During the incident, they allegedly assaulted the administrator, stole his personal belongings, and coerced him into signing a resignation letter.
The police indicated that the suspects failed to comply with previous invitations for questioning, prompting the Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, to officially declare them wanted.
“The Rivers State Police Command has declared the following individuals wanted for criminal conspiracy, stealing, assault occasioning harm, and attempted murder,” the statement read.
“Despite public and formal invitations to report at the State Headquarters, the suspects, Mr. Hector Ekakita and Mr. Aloni Olodi have refused to comply. The Commissioner of Police advises them to turn themselves in immediately.”
The charges against them include criminal conspiracy, stealing, assault, and attempted murder. The public is urged to come forward with any information that could lead to their apprehension.
